Total Fire Ban Declared Across Victoria

A Total Fire Ban (TFB) has been declared for the entire state of Victoria. With firefighting resources already stretched across the landscape, we must act as one community to prevent further disaster.
Golam Haque urges all residents to prioritize these 4 critical safety points:
    Zero Tolerance for Ignition: Under a Total Fire Ban, no fire can be lit in the open air. This includes campfires, solid-fuel BBQs, and certain outdoor tools. One spark in these conditions is all it takes to threaten lives and properties.
    Finalize Your Emergency Plan Now: Do not wait for smoke to appear. Ensure every member of your household knows exactly when to leave and where to go. If your plan is to leave, leaving early in the morning is the safest option.
    Stay Informed via Official Channels: Conditions can change in seconds. Keep the Vic Emergency app active, listen to local emergency broadcasters, and monitor the CFA website for real-time updates on fire movements.
    Neighbourly Vigilance: Look out for those who may be vulnerable or unaware of the ban. Community safety is a collective responsibility, and by staying alert together, we can reduce the burden on our first responders.
Golam Haque wishes for the safety and well-being of all Victorians. Let’s stay resilient and look out for one another.
